Is there a particular issue that motivates you, and if so, what is it?I'm looking to help within the community. No.If you are an incumbent, describe your main contributions. Tell us of important initiatives you've led. If you are a non-incumbent, tell us what contributions you would make.I can only make contributions after I learn how to be a trustee, then do what is best for the people and the library.Do you have a library card? How long have you had it? How often do you use it?I've had a library card since before 2003. I use it as often as needed.Space is usually an issue at libraries. If that's the case at your library, would your solution be to expand the physical plant or make room by doing away with parts of the collection that technology has made less critical? Explain.Never take away from the collection, after all, what topic would you destroy first? The WNPL trustee's might agree with me because of the massive expansion taking place at this time. What impact have economic and technological changes had on libraries? How does a library remain relevant? How should its role in the community change? Can't answer the first question because I've never worked in a library. As long as there is a strong democratic government in place, a library will always stay relevant, it's just a matter of degree. The role of a library's change will should always be to follow the community's change in a positive direction.
