Explain your answer.Yes,we should. We have done so in order to strengthen our""Mile of Cars"", and we should consider any opportunity thatpresents itself. That said, however, we also need to be mindful that we don't want to make our existing businessesuncompetitive in that structure.How can the village work with IDOT to ensure the Milwaukee/Peterson intersection work minimizes disruptions for commuters?I think communication and vigilance is the key. Our staff and Board need to monitor the contractors and the State on a daily basis to make sure that as many lanes are open as possible during rush hour and even more importantly that adequate ingress and egress(and signage) be provided to our businesses during the construction period.If red-light camera revenue continues to be well below projections, will you support removing them? As long as the cameras are revenue nuetral at the minimum I will supportretaining them as a safety enhancement.To what extent should a historic preservation ordinance affect individual property owners?I beleive that a Historic Preservation ordinance has an important role to play in maintaining the charater of our downtown and other historic areas of the Village. We shouldencourage revitalization of our residential areas whilemaintaining the character of our neighborhoods.How best can the village maintain its deteriorating streets as the damage worsens without investment?Maintaining our infrastructure is of utmost importance. We need to direct as much revenue as possible from as many sources as possible to maintain our streets accordingto the prioity lists we have developed and updated everyyear since the late 80's.
