Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.In todays economy our local taxes are fair, they enable us to provide the services required by our citizens.Talking with your friends and neighbors, what seems to be their biggest public safety concern? Explain the concern as you see it, and discuss how you think it should be addressed.I have not heard any safety concerns from people who have talked with me. I believe that Elk Grove is an established community whose citizens feel their safety is covered by the quick response from our Police, Fire and Public Works departments.In these tight economic times, municipal budgets have to be prioritized. Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?In these times as in the past, we have always watched our budget closely. This is shown by not raising our tax rate again. We work closely with all staff to give the best service to the residents and businesses for the dollars that must be expended.What#146;s one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?I have worked with our Health and Comminty Service Department for many years. I feel, because of this difficult econmic climate, it is important our residents be made more aware of the facilities available to them for assistance.
