Ultimately the residents of Huntley are the customers and I want to bring forth the best possible product.Given the delicate balance between the need for revenue and over-taxing local businesses, what is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.Until the economy stabilizes and shows growth our current tax rate should stay the same. Lowering the local sales tax rate would further tighten the budget which would inherently lower the level of services to our community.Talking with your friends and neighbors, what seems to be their biggest public safety concern? Explain the concern as you see it, and discuss how you think it should be addressed.Traffic control in an expanding community will always be a concern for our residents. I would like to continue to poll the community for those specific pain points and support the residents in any way possible.In these tight economic times, municipal budgets have to be prioritized. Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?I feel the Village of Huntley is being fiscally responsible at the present time. If the need to trim additionally came to a reality I would support and assist where needed.What#146;s one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?I would like to expand upon current community projects, be an advocate for business development and continue to make fiscally responsible growth decisions for the community.
