If yes, please explain: Candidate did not respond.Candidate's Key Issues Key Issue 1 ..To protect,preserve and promote water resources,and availability of water for the future for the projected growth in Huntley.Key Issue 2 ...To provide and promote better transportation routes, bypasses as Huntley grows .Key Issue 3 ...To eventually encourage associate and degree courses in alliance with McHenry Cty Collage.Questions Answers What makes you the best candidate for the job?...With my educaitonal and work experience as a Enviormental Engineer specifically in the area of potable water, for the Village of Huntley.Given the delicate balance between the need for revenue and over-taxing local businesses, what is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain....Huntlely is currently a non-home rule community. As such we cannot change taxes without a referendum. Taxes as they are in the Village are ""just right"" for current financial requirements.Talking with your friends and neighbors, what seems to be their biggest public safety concern? Explain the concern as you see it, and discuss how you think it should be addressed.....With the increase of population there may be a growth in crime. The village will monitor and provide protection as needed.In these tight economic times, municipal budgets have to be prioritized. Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?...The present budget is balanced and it appears that the the Village of Huntley is running in black, and proud of it.What#146;s one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?...Thinking ahead to providing a higher education venue for the projected 1000 Huntley highschool graduates, a satellite arm of McHenry County College would be a first step towards associates degree and eventually degree courses.
