While working with our neighborhood groups, we successfully petitioned the Council to alter housing development patterns, and traffic flow in the 1st Ward.In these tight economic times, municipal budgets have to be prioritized. Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?Candidate did not respond.What#146;s one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?Making renewable energy work for usAs a resident of Aurora since 1974, I often felt that the City should use its Home Rule status to develop and provide power with a renewable energy source. I#146;m taking about power from up-draft wind turbines which don#146;t rely on unpredictable wind currents. The technology to do this is available; we just need the political will to make it happen.Just think, wind farms to power the cities utilities, heat our streets and roads in winter, and provide a stable price option for Aurora residences. While we#146;re thinking about uses; think about growing produce 365days. We can do this Aurora!
