I know how to work well with others. I work to bring people together. I have been involved in getting the most out of every tax dollar. I have negotiated with various unions. I can see the ""big picture."" I am committed to look for all the possible solutions and to choose the very best solution.Given the delicate balance between the need for revenue and over-taxing local businesses, what is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.I believe that the present level of our sales tax is just about right. We need to look at creative measures to maintain superior services for the citizens of Lombard.Talking with your friends and neighbors, what seems to be their biggest public safety concern? Explain the concern as you see it, and discuss how you think it should be addressed.Lombard has an excellent police department and an excellent fire department. We need to assure that these forces remain superior.In these tight economic times, municipal budgets have to be prioritized. Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?Every year, we need to carefully evaluate the budget. I will reserve any specific judgment and recommendations until I have the opportunity to do so thoroughly.What's one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?I would like to see more cooperative efforts between the different governmental bodies and the different civic groups.
