Incentive packages are carefully evaluated so that the outcome is beneficial for all.Assess the number of village employees: just right; too many; too few? If some departments are over- or under-staffed, which ones? What should be done? How did the village handle its latest negotiations with police, fire and public works unions?The Village like many other municipalities had to streamline due to the economy. We try to keep a good and open door policy with all our employees. The front line operations on the street - have not changed or decreased. Service is still the same.Is the village doing the right thing with the Sears Centre? Evaluate the changes the board made in the past year and tell us what still needs to happen.Yes at the present we brought in a professional management company and is doing way better than anticipated and we will continue to strive to make it an asset for the community.How should the village develop its west side? Are the complaints that some residents living in that area feel neglected legitimate?We continue to look for new enterprises to go out west. There are also several residents who participate and serve the Village thru commissions and committees.The village has placed employee salaries online, but is the village doing enough to be transparent? If not, what else should be available online for public viewing?We continue to look for ways to not only be transparent but communicate with our residents. Some examples being televising our meetings, Coffee with the Council and neighborhood meetings. We try to improve and expand our communication efforts.
