Storm inhibits delivery of your paper

Due to the storm, delivery of today's print editions of the Daily Herald will be delayed until Thursday morning. Impassable roads and continuing blizzard conditions have severely restricted our ability get our newspapers to the carriers and for the carriers to get them to you.

"Despite a valiant effort early today to deliver the Daily Herald to branch facilities for distribution by carriers to our customers, we were unable to do so," said Douglas K. Ray, chairman, publisher and CEO of Paddock Publications. "Because of the treacherous conditions, safety of the staff is our main concern and we have pulled back our carriers from the streets to wait for the storm to pass by. Latest forecasts indicate that will be later today with streets not passable before nightfall.

"Thus, in most cases, subscribers will receive today's Daily Herald along with the Thursday edition. We will adjust our delivery plan if weather conditions improve," he said.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
