Northwest Community Hospital picks new chairman

Max G. Brittain Jr. of Arlington Heights is the new chairman of Northwest Community Hospital’s board of directors.

Brittain, 63, has served on the board for 20 years.

“The people we serve are deserving of a world-class medical facility close to home,” said Brittain. “The great culture of this hospital has been the driver of our success over the years, and I’ll work to keep that strong.”

Chairmen serve one-year terms and can be re-elected twice.

Bruce Crowther, president and chief executive officer of the hospital, praised Brittain.

“I have the utmost confidence in Max, and I know he has the knowledge and experience to lead our organization in the right direction during a challenging economic time,” Crowther said.

Professionally, Brittain is group leader for labor and employment at Schiff Hardin LLP, a law firm with offices in Chicago and several major cities.
