Gurnee crash sends one to hospital
A three-car crash in Gurnee sent one person to the hospital Sunday morning.
Police responded at 10:26 a.m. to the crash, which occurred at Route 41 and Delany Road.
Gurnee fire Lt. Scott DePauw said a total of five people were involved, but only one person, a female estimated to be in her 50s, was transported, to Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan.
He said the woman suffered neck and back pain.
DePauw said there was considerable damage to the three vehicles, which consisted of one car and two SUVs.
One vehicle was headed northbound on Route 41, one was southbound on Delany and the other vehicle was parked at the intersection.
Fire officials could not say what caused the accident.
