Barbershop quartets to deliver your valentine

Quartets from the Fox Valley Men of Harmony will be delivering singing valentines in the Fox Valley area three days this year, starting Saturday to Monday, Feb. 12-14.

This is the 19th year that quartets have helped Cupid shoot his arrows of love. Singing valentines are a fun way for loved ones to send a message. Barbershop quartets like to sing about sweethearts, which have lyrics that read just like valentines.

Valentines can be delivered to homes, restaurants, schools, places of work, etc. in Kane and McHenry counties and surrounding towns. The valentine is delivered by a formally dressed quartet and includes two love songs, a red silk rose and a personalized card.

Hours of delivery are: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12; 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13; and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14. The cost is $40. Orders received after Tuesday, Feb. 8 will have a $10 surcharge.

This year, the Men of Harmony are honoring armed services personnel by offering a free valentine delivered to a loved one residing in Kane or McHenry counties. Call for details.
