Hearing Feb. 2 for man accused of running meth lab
A 26-year-old Des Plaines man facing multiple charges alleging he manufactured methamphetamine in his basement is due in court Wednesday on the felony accusations.
Matthew A. Weber-Mixon, of the 300 block of Oxford Road, is charged with four counts each of possession of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials and using the property to produce the drug, Des Plaines police officials said.
Cook County Judge Larry Axelrood set bail for Weber-Mixon at $40,000 Thursday. He remains in custody at the Cook County jail unable to post bail.
Weber-Mixon is set to appear at 9 a.m. Feb. 2 in room 105 of the Cook County courthouse in Skokie.
