Highland jazz bands score well at jazz fest

Highland Middle School's Jazz 1 and Jazz 2 bands did exceedingly well in the recent North Shore Jazz Festival, with performances earning both bands ratings of “Superior” from all three judges.

Jazz 2 band also won third place in its division, said Carla Bollinger, band director at the Libertyville middle school.

“The performances were great,” she added. “Congratulations to all the students involved.”
