Suburban projects in Illinois’ capital construction program

Among the projects that were to be funded by the $31 billion capital program approved in 2009 are:Ÿ $375,000 to improve facilities at North Point Marina in Lake County.Ÿ $606,000 to update heating, ventilation and air conditioning at the Illinois Youth Center in St. Charles.Ÿ $131 million for additional lane and bridge reconstruction at Route 30 from east of Williams Street to Route 45 and from Route 45 to Route 43.Ÿ $125 million for additional lanes on Route 59 from Ferry Road to Aurora Avenue in Naperville.Ÿ $82 million for Algonquin bypass route of Route 31 west of downtown Algonquin.Ÿ $45 million for interchange construction at Route 57 at Stuenkel Road.Ÿ $32 million for additional lanes on Route 45 from Washington Street to Route 120.Ÿ $36 million to College of Lake County to construct a student services building.Ÿ $25 million to College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn to replace temporary facilities.Ÿ $22.5 million to Northern Illinois University to expand/renovate the Stevens Building.Ÿ $8 million to Northern Illinois University to renovate Cole Hall.Ÿ $6.3 million to the Illinois Math and Science Academy to renovate residence halls.Ÿ $40.6 million to renovate Harper College#146;s student center, $20.3 million to renovate its engineering and technology center, and $3.9 million to renovate its hospitality program area.Ÿ $672,000 to McHenry County College to construct a greenhouse.$PHOTOCREDIT_ON$Source: Governor#146;s office$PHOTOCREDIT_OFF$
