The skinny: The Flames attempt to snap their eight-game losing streak against the Horizon League co-leaders. The Vikings already own an 83-59 victory over UIC. Transfer Paul Carter’s senior year has been a success for the Flames. He owns eight double-doubles this season, including five in the last six games to help UIC become the league’s top offensive-rebounding team. Junior-college transfer center Darrin Williams has been more of a mixed bag, in part due to injury. Since going for 9 points and 6 rebounds against Illinois on Dec. 18, which included the game-winning points, Williams has averaged 4.8 points and 3.0 rebounds per game.
