Fortune Brands declares dividend of 19 cents

DEERFIELD — Fortune Brands Inc. said Tuesday that it declared a regular dividend of 19 cents.

The consumer products company said the dividend will be paid on March 1 to shareholders of record on Feb. 9.

Last month Fortune Brands said it planned to split into three companies, keeping its liquor business led by Jim Beam bourbon while shedding the units that make Titleist golf balls, Moen faucets and Master Locks.

Shares of Fortune Brands, based in Deerfield, Ill., fell 30 cents to $61.12 in afternoon trading.
