Billboard aimed at crime prevention

Lake County Crime Stoppers, the Lake County Metropolitan Enforcement Group and Clear Channel have teamed up on a new billboard that focuses on drugs, crime and guns.

This is the eighth in a series of billboards to promote public awareness and is located at Washington and West streets in Waukegan. The billboard ties in with other community policing and crime prevention awareness programs, officials from Crime Stoppers said.

The billboard is a call out to parents, educators and concerned citizens to be aware, protect children, be involved and remain anonymous. For more information about the billboard, or to report a crime anonymously, contact Crime Stoppers at (847) 662-2222.
