Bulls 92, Cavaliers 79

Defying the trend: Cleveland has been dreadful since getting hammered by old friend and new enemy LeBron James and the Heat on Dec. 2. The Bulls have played the Cavs three times since then, but none of the games have been blowouts. They led by just 2 points with 4:38 remaining Saturday before a strong surge settled the outcome.

Three times 20: Derrick Rose scored 20 of his 24 points in the second half. Carlos Boozer returned from an ankle injury to produce 20 points and 10 rebounds. Luol Deng contributed 20 points and 12 boards.

Famous last words: “I thought we did a good job on Rose except for those last four minutes or so,” Cleveland forward Antawn Jamison said.
