With no options, BP goes to Russia

The giant petroleum corporation BP has not been able to expand in the United States because there is an oil drilling moratorium in the Gulf of Mexico, there is no drilling allowed in the vast ANWR Alaska Arctic area and there is no new oil exploration off either coast.

So how did BP respond? They sold 5 percent of their corporation to Russia and will now be able to explore for oil in the Siberian Arctic. Imagine the number of Russian jobs that are going to be created. There will be jobs to explore, jobs to drill, jobs to build pipelines and jobs to run producing oil wells. Russia will also receive corporate tax money from BP and 5 percent of BP profits.

What does the United States get? We get less jobs, less corporate tax money and we get to send more of our money out of the country to buy foreign oil. You would almost think our government doesn’t like us.
