Typical Democrat way of business

This letter is for the hard working people of Illinois that might not know what your Democratic Leaders of this state have done to you. Illinois is in such dire straits from the last eight years of Democratic control that now they have decided, in the late night hours of the last night before the new Republicans were to be sworn in (12 a.m. the Democratic House passed the bill and 1:30 a.m. the Democratic Senate passed the bill), that we the taxpayers should pay even more for their inept management of this state. This was wrong and typical of these Democrats way of doing business.

What bill you ask? A 67 percent increase in your state income tax and the business tax going from 4.8 percent to 7 percent. On top of these tax increases, they had the gall to tell us that they put a cap of 2 percent additional spending that could occur.

Wait a minute. They want to increase our taxes, leaving us with less disposable income, to pay for their past mismanagement and tell us we should feel good about a 2 percent annual increase cap on spending?

Question: How can we put an increase cap on our household spending of 2 percent when the state is taking more of our money. This state needed to invent business to come here, not drive them away. Where is the job creation in these tax increases? There is none.

This past November was a start in turning this state around with the election wins by more Republicans. The Democrats have now made sure that turnaround will take longer than it should have.

Remember these Democrats in the next election and get them out of office for the good of Illinois.
