Poll: Emanuel holds strong lead in Chicago race
A new poll shows former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel with a 2-1 advantage in the Chicago mayoral race.
The Chicago Tribune/WGN poll shows Emanuel with the support of 44 percent of those surveyed.
The poll found 21 percent of registered voters questioned prefer former U.S. Sen. Carol Moseley Braun, while 16 percent favor onetime Chicago Board of Education President Gery Chico and 7 percent support City Clerk Miguel del Valle.
Nine percent of those surveyed say they're still undecided. The poll also shows 2 percent of those surveyed support Williams Walls, while 1 percent back Patricia Van Pelt-Watkins.
The poll of 708 registered voters was conducted Saturday through Wednesday. It has an error margin of 3.7 percentage points.
