Des Plaines mayor has friendly wager over Bears game

Des Plaines Mayor Martin J. Moylan and Greenfield, Wis. Mayor Michael J. Neitzke have agreed to a Bears-Packers challenge, and will exchange signature “eats” from their respective regions depending on the outcome of Sunday’s game. A Bears victory means Moylan will be sent bratwurst, frozen custard and cheese curds; a Packers victory means Moylan will send a Chicago hotdog, Italian beef sandwich and an Italian sausage sandwich from the Paradise Pup Restaurant in Des Plaines. Greenfield is a southwest suburb of Milwaukee, population about 36,300. The loser also has to wear the winning team’s jersey to their hometown city council meeting.
