The skinny: When the Big East's only undefeated team meets with one of its two winless teams, anything can happen. Or, at least, that's what the Demons hope as the fifth-ranked Panthers invade Rosemont. According to Ken Pomeroy's statistics, Pittsburgh boasts the most efficient offense in the nation — a leading indicator for potential NCAA champions. Junior guard Ashton Gibbs (16.0 ppg) leads a balanced attack that also paces the nation in offensive rebounding percentage. The Panthers also outboard opponents by 13.6 per game, which figures to be an issue for a DePaul team with a minus-6.3-per-game rebounding margin. DePaul freshman Cleveland Melvin ranks third in scoring (22.7 ppg) and fourth in rebounding (7.5 rpg) in league play. DePaul holds its Hall of Fame induction ceremony at halftime, which will feature Terry Davis.
