Villa Park Rec offers Valentine's Day programs

The Villa Park Recreation Department is offering special Valentine's Day programs for children.

"Treats for Your Valentine" is available for children ages 3-8 (3-5 with parent) from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, or 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12. Everyone wants something to give their valentine, so why not join the Recreation Department and decorate cookies and cupcakes with valentine sprinkles, frosting and much more. You will sample your creations and wrap some up to give to your sweetheart. The fee is $9/$7 siblings.

Children ages 5-8 will enjoy "For My Valentine" from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1. Come and make some fantastic Valentines for all your loved ones. You'll use different materials to create hearts that will be decorated with lots of glitter, paint and glue in this fun and crafty class. The fee is $12/$9 sibling.

The older child, ages 9-12, will love "Crafty Cupids" from 4 to 4:55 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8. The kids will use paint, glue, glitter and foam shapes to make some crafty valentines to give family and friends. The fee is $12/$9 siblings.
