Job fair in Lake Villa

Lake Villa Township will host a job fair from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10. The township will collaborate with the Job Center of Lake County for the event. It’ll be at the township’s west campus, the former Gavin North School, at 37850 N. Route 59 in Lake Villa near Grand Avenue. A wide range of career and job opportunities will be represented including professional, hourly, technical and nontechnical work, in addition to summer and part-time employment. Training classes will be offered during the fair to prepare the participants to search for available jobs, write captivating resumes and interview with prospective employers. There is no charge to attend. Employers with job openings or likely availabilities in the coming months may use the event as an opportunity to interview and screen candidates.
