Shooting in Tucson no great surprise
Concerning the shooting rampage in Arizona: Everyone from the president to Sarah Palin are expressing shock and surprise at this terrible act, which shocks and surprises me.
For years now certain groups have been spreading lies, fear and hate all across the nation and now we are stunned when someone lashes out? The one thing that has really shocked me is that this massacre didn’t happen much sooner. And the one thing that will really surprise me is that such acts of domestic terrorism won’t happen again and often until they become the norm in American politics.
Some people read of great massacres in the paper and ask, “Why?” I read of great massacres and ask, “Why ask why?”
