Colder's in Wis. closes for Bears-Packers game

MILWAUKEE — Colder's furniture stores in Wisconsin are giving up on doing any business on the day the Green Bay Packers face the Chicago Bears in the NFC championship game.

Colder's will close its four stores all day Sunday. The company says the majority of its customers will be watching the game, rather than out shopping for furniture. A competitor, Steinhafels, isn't following suit. President Gary Steinhafel says they'll staff their stores anticipating reduced traffic. Steinhafel says the stores' TVs will be tuned to the Packers-Bears game.

The Journal Sentinel says BiltRite Furniture in Greenfield has adjusted its hours Sunday, opening and closing earlier for the afternoon game.
