Antioch woman charged with selling prescription drugs

A 52-year-old Antioch woman has been charged with trying to sell prescription drugs out of her home, police said.

Kelly Pinkowski, of the 300 block of North Avenue in Antioch, was arrested on Jan. 7, said Chief Craig Somerville of the Antioch Police Department.

Officers executed a search warrant at Pinkowski’s residence after police received a tip, Somerville said. They seized 99 prescription drug pills, a digital scale, crack cocaine paraphernalia and $955 in cash.

Pinkowski is charged with single counts of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a controlled substance with an intent to deliver.

The cash was seized by officers under the Illinois Asset Forfeiture Act, Somerville said.

Pinkowski posted the required 10 percent of her $100,000 bond, Somerville said, and was released from jail. Her next court date was not immediately available.
