Northern Illinois (6-9, 2-1) at Central Michigan (4-12, 1-2)

When: 6 p.m. at McGuirk Arena

The skinny: The Huskies are rolling with 2 MAC wins in a row. That's no small thing because NIU lost 12 of its last 14 league games before knocking off Eastern Michigan and Toledo last week. Xavier Silas (23.6 ppg) remains fourth nationally in scoring. Power forward Tim Toler has averaged 15.7 points in MAC play, and senior Jeremy Landers also has come alive. Known primarily as a defensive specialist, “Red” has delivered 8.7 points, 5.3 assists and 4.0 rebounds in MAC games. CMU has just 3 wins over Division. I teams: UIC, Toledo and Cal St. Fullerton. Freshman Trey Zeigler leads the way with 17.0 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
