Quinn out of touch with electorate
Perhaps we should give the new “recall” law a test in Illinois. Gov. Quinn breaks his promise on the new state income tax hike rate. Time to remove governor. That won't happen.
However, a solid and healthy letter writing campaign, not only to Gov. Quinn, but every incumbent state legislator who voted for this ridiculous and out-of-touch tax increase, should be the first step for Illinois taxpayers to express their displeasure with recent action by our legislature. And don't be afraid and intimidated by Springfield icon Michael Madigan who does not say a lot publicly, but is the gatekeeper of the House. Express your displeasure and send him a copy of your household budget and let them all now just how much this tax increase hurts the families in our state.
Gov. Quinn has already established that he is out of touch with the Illinois electorate. For a person who founded Citizens Utility Board and was a watchdog and consumer advocate, he has proved in the start of his first full term as governor that he is not an advocate for the citizens of Illinois. He appears to be a puppet. We just need to identify who is pulling his strings.
