Naperville fire causes $100,000 in damage
A Naperville house fire caused more than $100,000 in damage Monday night, according to fire officials.
A neighborhood resident called 911 at 5:32 p.m. after seeing flames shooting out of the back of a house on the 600 block of East Bauer Road, according to the Naperville Fire Department. Responding units found the two-story house heavily involved in fire but were able to bring it under control within 10 minutes, according to authorities.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but fire officials said the heaviest amount of fire was near the kitchen.
No one was home during the fire, and no firefighters were injured.
Inspectors deemed the house uninhabitable.
