Challenges against Hayes, Scaletta the work of sore losers

I was dismayed to read of the challenge to the petitions of Tom Hayes and John Scaletta.

The most ethical man I have ever known was my deceased husband, Les Jensen. However, Trustee Tom Hayes comes up to the standards I expect in an elected official. I was honored to serve on the village board with him for 10 years.

We did not agree on many issues but I would never doubt his dedication or his honesty.

The challenge to his and to John Scaletta’s petitions is a joke and should be treated as such. We in Arlington Hts. are very lucky to have truly exceptional candidates for elected office.

These candidates are qualified and have proved their worth. The gentlemen who have posted this challenge are truly sore losers. If you can’t beat someone at the polls make life difficult for them.

I consider myself lucky to have been part of the team that establishes policy for our wonderful town. The years of volunteering with this board give me great pride.
