“The Outsiders” play coming to Palatine church

ArtReach Educational Theatre in partnership with Spotlite Theatrix Production Company in February is staging “The Outsiders,” a play that examines the class struggles between the Soc’s — the rich kids — and the underprivileged Greasers.

Based on the novel by S.E. Hinton, the play will be presented at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Feb. 11-12, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 3839 W. Frontage Road in Palatine.

The production is being directed by Barry Norton of Cary, with assistant direction by Chelsey Ponce of Grayslake and Lynda Norton of Cary.
