Scouting: Michigan @ Northwestern
Michigan (11-7, 1-4) at Northwestern (11-5, 2-4)
When: 8 p.m. at Welsh-Ryan Arena
TV: BTN
Radio: WGN 720-AM
The skinny: Similar to Northwestern's valiant effort Saturday at Michigan State, the Wolverines came up just short against No. 2 Kansas and No. 1 Ohio State within the last 10 days. Michigan's excellent home showings haven't been matched on the road. John Beilein's bunch has played just three true road games. While they won at Clemson early, they tumbled at Wisconsin (by 16) and Indiana (by 19). Sophomore PG Darius Morris has been a revelation for Michigan. He leads the Big Ten and ranks fourth nationally with 7.3 assists per game but also provides 15.7 ppg. He's a big reason why UM turns over the ball just 13.8 times per game, but that doesn't mesh with Northwestern's Big Ten-best 8.4 steals per game. Look for Drew Crawford's eyes to light up at the sight of the Wolverines. He averaged 21 points in NU's sweep last year.
