Man jailed after online threat against Wis. mal

WAUWAUTOSA, Wis. — A West Allis man is jailed after police accuse him of posting an online threat against the Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa.

Police say the 40-year-old posted it on the Craigslist web site Friday night, saying something would happen at the mall Saturday

Working with Craigslist, police traced the posting and arrested the man just hours after he posted the threat. The site removed the post quickly.

Mayfair Mall General Manager Steve Smith says the mall takes threats seriously and reacts swiftly.

Police haven't given details of the threat but say they don't it was credible.

The arrest comes two weeks after more than 100 youths disrupted the mall on a Sunday afternoon, forcing it to close early. Nine juveniles from Milwaukee were arrested in that incident.
