Antioch seeks artists

Antioch Chamber of Commerce is seeking artists for its second annual Public Art Program. The theme is Bears on the Chain (of Lakes).

Artists are invited to submit their bear designs, which if accepted will be included in a portfolio that sponsors will view to select their design.

Last year, 100 designs were submitted for Dogs on the Chain Public Art Program and 41 public sculptures resulted. All bear design artists selected by sponsors will receive $50 stipend.

The bears will be displayed in spring, summer and early fall throughout the business community. Sponsorship is open to any individual or business who would like to help raise money for charity.

This fall, the bears go on the auction block to raise money for Open Arms Food Pantry, Save-A-Pet and scholarships for Antioch High School. Visit AntiochChamber.org or call (847) 395-2233.
