The skinny: For the second year in a row, the 16th-ranked Illini and 20th-ranked Badgers have little time between one meeting and the next. Last year, Wisconsin pounded Illinois on March 7 before the Illini won the rematch March 12 at the Big Ten tournament. This time around, Illinois earned a 69-61 home win on Jan. 2. That doesn’t leave much time for adjustments, which suggests this rematch comes down to which team shoots better. The Illini outgunned the Badgers 56 percent to 35 percent two weeks ago as UW settled for 35 3-point attempts. Bo Ryan has made one big change since the first meeting: Senior Tim Jarmusz and junior Rob Wilson entered the lineup for soph Mike Bruesewitz and freshman Josh Gasser. It provides better defense but less rebounding prowess.
