Recycling efforts net cash to offset village's Recycling Extravaganza

Two boxes, each 30 cubic feet, were filled this holiday season with holiday lights under the village of Lombard's first holiday lights recycling program.

The recycling efforts will net approximately $500 to the village, which will be used to offset part of the cost to run the annual recycling extravaganza, held in September.

“We are very please with the recycling efforts of our residents,” said Dave Gorman, assistant director of public works. “Here's a great example of how recycling can really pay off."
