Barrington church hosts Family Snowman Day Jan. 29
St. Matthew Lutheran Church will be hosting a Barrington Family Snowman Day from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 29.
The event is open to the public and will be held west of the main church parking lot, 720 Dundee Ave. in Barrington.
The host will supply the snow, sticks for arms, charcoal and carrots. Families of grade school children who wish to participate should bring any other decorations, plus a hat and mittens/gloves. All hats and gloves will be donated after the event to St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Chicago, for clothing the needy. Hot chocolate, cookies, and a craft will also be provided in the church building.
