Like to skip Illinois hitting the bottom

As I wrap up my college career, I have begun to make some important decisions about my future. In doing so, I find myself considering an option that had never seemed viable to me before: leaving Illinois.

After seeing how our representatives (they are far from leaders) in Springfield act so blatantly apart from our interests, it is becoming harder and harder to justify staying. This new income tax increase just shows how out of touch Quinn and his cronies really are. At a time where everyone is cutting back, they continue to demand more and more. Why are they exempt to cost-cutting? They haven't come close to showing they can handle what they already have.

I know there is a large deficit to erase but will increased taxes still eliminate this deficit if people and business leave our state? This just shows me that they don't care, and if they don't care now, then why would they care down the road?

The recent election tells me that I'm not the only one who feels this way, and it's safe to say that many other people and businesses do as well. I would really hate to leave, but Illinois keeps digging itself into a deeper hole, and I don't want to be there when it hits the bottom.
