Life sentence too lenient for killers
Even though I understand the role of a public defender, I am horrified that Cook County assistant public defender Jim Mullenix had the gall to say, I was pleased by the legislature's action taking the death penalty off. “I'm” grateful that they{I} don't have to beg for a defendant's life. Did 10-year-old Jeanine Nicarico have the chance to beg for her life? Did the murdered people in Tuscon, Ariz., have a chance to “plead” for their lives?
A life sentence means they can breathe and eat. They can laugh and cry. All at government expense.
