No injuries in Naperville house fire

No injuries were reported in a fire that caused more than $175,000 damage and left a Naperville house uninhabitable, authorities said Thursday.

Naperville firefighters said they responded at 7:38 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a fire in an attached garage in the 2200 block of Oberlin Court. They arrived to find a car burning in the garage.

The fire quickly spread to a second car and the garage attic, authorities said.

The main body of fire was extinguished in 15 minutes, but firefighters remained on the scene for another three hours to do cleanup work.

The home's residents escaped unharmed before firefighters arrived.

The blaze was ruled accidental; investigators still are trying to determine the exact cause.
