Filibuster reform is needed now
With the escalating abuse of the filibuster over the last decade, our Senate has become a dead zone.
On Jan 24 a reform bill will be presented on the Senate floor. This reform must pass as it will curtail secret holds and the necessity for a super majority of 60 votes to pass everything.
The filibuster will still exist, but it will take a concerted effort to implement, thereby eliminating its abuse on smaller matters. (I hope). I urge our two senators to back this reform bill.
