NE Ind. judge gets more security after threat
HUNTINGTON, Ind. — A northeastern Indiana judge is receiving more security after becoming the target of a death threat.
The Indiana State Police and Huntington County Sheriff's Department are investigating threats made against Huntington Circuit Judge Thomas Hakes.
The sheriff's department in issued a statement Monday saying it has increased security for the judge after it received reports of the threats on Friday.
Hakes says he can't say anything else about the nature of the threats.
Investigators say they aren't releasing the suspect's name yet because the matter remains under investigation.
Huntington County is southwest of Fort Wayne.
