Dundee-Crown's Braun sets school records

Dundee-Crown senior bowler Marie Braun made school history Saturday when she became the first Charger to win an individual championship in a multi-team event.

She outbowled 60 other bowlers from 12 schools to win the Grant Invitational at Lakes Bowl in Round Lake.

Braun rolled games of 221, 251 and 206 for a 678 series, becoming the first Dundee-Crown bowler to roll three consecutive 200-plus games. Her 251 is also a new school record, as is the 678 series.

Braun also had nine straight strikes in a game, eclipsing the school record of seven.
