Your news: Lake shelter gives cat another chance

This is a story about Miss Cinnamon, a kitty that was owned by a woman who recently lost her home.

Her friend was watching the Miss Cinnamon but let her outside. The next thing they knew, they heard a cat fight and when the cat came back, her eye was severely injured. The woman had no money to pay for vet care, so for a week and a half she put ointment on it and then decided to give Miss Cinnamon to Save-A-Pet animal shelter just before Christmas since she could not get her the care she so desperately needed.

Miss Cinnamon is about 2 years old with long, gray/chocolaty brown and white fur. She is extremely sweet and loving and Save-A-Pet's Animal Health Supervisor, Sally Gustafson, together with staff members Marilyn McLin, Monica Sorokin and Jessica Fremarek said in unison that she would make a wonderful companion once Save-A-Pet nursed her back to health. She had been purring through it all.

Her eye unfortunately could not be saved and she received surgery to removed it. Once this is healed, she will be looking for a home.
