Prospect Hts. would benefit from TIFs

Prospect Heights is a fine community. It has many natural amenities, an excellent golf course with fine dining, conference and meeting facilities and an involved citizenry.

The city is well-run, has an excellent staff and is responsive to its residents and the business community. The Wheeling-Prospect Heights Chamber of Commerce is an effective organization. The chamber has the ability to address issues beneficial to both communities.

The Chicago Executive Airport is a significant resource. Small business owners and executive management derive considerable benefits from the airport.

The creative use of tax increment financing would benefit the residents of Prospect Heights. The financing would support special projects and programs and allow for the retention of key personnel.

The political leadership has the responsibility to develop a consensus on the steps needed to be taken to assure the future of Prospect Heights.
