History Center hosts program on Des Plaines Theater

The Des Plaines History Center will host a program on the Des Plaines Theater from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, as part of its Coffee Talk series.

The program will be hosted at the History Center, 781 Pearson St., in Des Plaines.

The Des Plaines Theater is undergoing massive interior restoration. The program will cover a history of the theater from its early days as a vaudeville theater to the present day.

Brian Wolf, preservationist and the writer behind the blog “Revitalize Des Plaines” will share images and stories about this local landmark.
