AU student writers share their work in public forum at Schingoethe Center

Local residents were among 20 Aurora University students reading original poetry and prose works in a recent second annual public program in the Schingoethe Center for Native American Cultures education gallery.

Student authors read works they wrote in “Introduction to Creative Writing,” a course taught by Heidi D. Rosenberg, assistant professor of English.

Authors reading their works were: Stephanie Johnson, Scott Miller and Elise Schoeberlein, all of Aurora; Jeff Goins of Bristol; Nichole Kolcz of Chicago; Stephanie Claesson of Elburn; Sonya Berg, Dan Maxwell of Lake Villa; Amanda McCord of Maywood; Yoanna Flores, Sara Merker and Travis Winkler, all of Montgomery; Amber Edgren of Oak Forest; Shannon Sickels of Oswego; T.J. Huinker of Rochelle; Cassie Conrad of St. Charles; Ashley Staat of Sandwich; Cassi Coulam of Woodridge; Nicky Fairless of Yorkville; and Tony Marsh of Raleigh, N.C.
